There are over 30 rides in Särkänniemi, offering wild whirls, gentle swaying or other fun experiences spiced with sprays of water, for example.
The wildest ride of them all, the Tornado rollercoaster, makes your head spin and messes your hair. Tornado's double cobra loop will scare the living daylights out of those whom other rides do not make dizzy. One can also experience the fascination of speed sitting on a motorbike in the MotoGee rollercoaster or being rocked by a giant snowboard in the Half Pipe rollercoaster. The surges of Log River or Rapids Ride offer refreshment on a hot summer day. However, if you wish to keep your clothes dry, you can take a ride on Surge, which swings at the tip of the promontory, and seek relief from the heat by enjoying the winds blowing from Lake Näsijärvi.
There are, of course, options for those who like calmer rides, too. A traditional carousel ride on Candy Carousel or a peaceful boat ride on Magic River crowns the day of amusement.
Angry Birds Land is the realm of children
If your height or courage does not quite yet allow you to go to all rides, children's own realm, Angry Birds Land, offers experiences for the little ones. Angry Birds Ride or Mushroom Race is a good place to start riding experiences cautiously, and the pedal-driven Magic Bikes or the Lighthouse adventure gives a taste of speed for small children.
