Experience the space of thought

Conquering space has been an obsession with man since the 1950's. However, he has always had to concede that he could only gain a partial insight into understanding the universe. Nevertheless, these insights, brought to us by the devoted work of astronomers, will help us broaden an expand our minds.

Take a seat in the Planetarium to enjoy clear, fun, up to date narration that is easily understood. This is combined with the latest multimedia techniques. Together they will take you on an unforgettable journey through our galaxy the Milky Way.

New Planetarium shows are introduced every year.

The Planetarium can be used not only for traditional star shows but also for music and theatre performances as well as for meetings and seminars.

Now showing: The Stars

How are stars born, and how do they live and die? You can find that out in the new Planetarium show called Stars. The programme also tells what kind of perceptions ancient peoples had of the wonders of the starlit sky.

Experience the unique multimedia sky of the Planetarium!

Special techniques are used to provide the most spectacular elements of Planetarium shows. A unique audiovisual world embraces and surrounds the audience, and creates a multi-dimensional experience that far exceeds that of traditional movie screens.

The ceiling of the Planetarium is still the focus of presentations. It acts as a real "observation sky", on which magnificent all sky images are projected using a computer controlled projector system. The renewed Planetarium has now sharper 360 HD technology. It is used for showing videos and spectacular 3D animations that illustrate the phenomena of the Starryskies.

On the other hand, the daily and annual movements of the stars and stellar systems can be monitored as well. Viewing the objects in our Solar system poses no problems at all.
Special attention has been paid to the acoustics and the sound system of the Planetarium. The multi channel surround system, familiar from movie theaters, creates a living space of sound surrounding the viewers.
